Warna pink dari pantainya merupakan campuran dari warna pantai pasir putih yang bercampur dengan serpihan karang, cangkang kerang, serta kalsium karbonat dari invertebrata laut yang berukuran sangat kecil, dan juga Foraminifera, Amuba Mikroskopis yang memiliki cangkang tubuh berwarna merah. Pantai seperti ini hanya ada 7 lho di dunia. Jadi kita harus bangga mempunyai salah satu pantai yang berwarna pink ini.
Di Pink Beach ini terdapat begitu banyak biota lautnya meliputi 1000 spesies ikan, 260 spesies terumbu karang, dan 70 spesies spong. Dengan adanya biota laut yang begitu banyak, tempat ini sangat cocok dijadikan tempat snorkeling maupun menyelam bagi para pecinta olah raga laut. Arus di pantai ini terkenal cukup kuat. Hal itu dikarenakan adanya pertemuan air laut tropis dari utara dan air laut dari selatan.
Pink Beach is one of the beaches on Komodo island, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The beach is called Pink Beach because the beach really has amazingly pink sand. Pink Beach is a tourist destination in the Komodo National Park which is very unique because it matches its name, along the beach area is pink.
The pink color of the sand is a mixture of colors from white sand with coral fragments of very small marine invertebrates which have a red shell. Actually this pink color arises because of the many coral reefs of the same color and when the waves come some of the coral reefs are eroded by water and then mixed with sand. The result is a beautiful and unique pink or pink beach.
There are only are only 7 beaches like this in the world. So East Nusa Tenggara Province should be proud to have one of these unique pink beaches.
In the Pink Beach there is a lot of marine life, including over 1000 species of fish, 260 species of coral and 70 species of sponges. With so much to see this place is perfect for snorkeling and diving. The currents at this beach are strong though, at this point northern tropical sea water and meets colder water from the south.
